Next Skol Records CD release - Robespierre "Die
You Heathen, Die!" - has been scheduled for release on May 25, 2013. ROBESPIERRE's
style has been labeled as "obscure and mystical NWoBHM", and reviewers and fans
used to compare them to acts such as Hell, Cloven Hoof or Raven.
"We were inspired by the emerging NWOBHM and some of the more
extreme (for the time) bands from the USA. I, David, was always the traditionalist Metal
guy, whereas Gordon brought the Punk element into the mix. He was always more in tune with
modern developments in music, and remains so. The energy in the Robespierre sound stemmed
from him and I got swept away by it. We had enormous fun making these recordings. There
was no agenda other than to be the heaviest band we could imagine. It was certainly never
about bandwagon-jumping. I can recall to this day us listening to the playbacks and
grinning from ear to ear. Then, of course, it was off to the pub. The first tape was
played in rock pubs in Liverpool and was greeted with enthusiasm. We used to watch the
reactions, beer in hand, with little smiles on our faces, knowing that no one would
suspect that it was WE who were the perpetrators of this cacophony!" says David
Cooke.
"Only one of the two demo tapes was "released" - the first featuring
"Backs To The Wall", "Die You Heathen, Die!", "I Am A
Cannibal" and "March Into Hell". This "release" involved the
handing out of a cassette tape to two people in Liverpool. Since then the tape has been
copied and copied until it has spread all over the world, affording Robespierre a cult
following primarily based on the mystique surrounding us as much as our music. People have
also been downloading a multi-generation copy online. The second demo - featuring
"Maelstrom", "Robespierre", "Medusa",
"Decapitation" and "Battle Of The Ninth Thermidor" remained in the
vaults, so to speak, and no one outside of us (and Peter May who contributed some backing
vocals) had ever heard these recordings." he adds.
The complete demo collection titled "Die You
Heathen, Die!" was released in Summer of 2011 by Buried By Time And Dust Records on
vinyl. Now, 2 years later, Skol Records release it on CD format, incl. the fantastic
artwork by Andrei Bouzikov (Fueled By Fire, Municipal Waste, Skeletonwitch), and thick
booklet with all lyrics, many previously unseen photos and liner notes. CD will be limited
to only 999 copies.

STONER METALLERS CIRCLE OF WITCHES JOIN GM FAMILY
Do you like your music to be
dirty, loud, straight and powerful? Then better remember this name: Circle Of Witches! The
band was formed in Salerno, Italy, in 2004, and except releasing several demos and debut
album in 2007, managed to play hundreds of club and festival shows. Imagine the following
mixture: lyrics about magic, urban legends, sex and rock 'n' roll, influence of acts such
as Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Kyuss and Fu Manchu, and an ultimate raw energy and die hard
attitude - so you will know what to expect. Stage is these three guys' natural
environment, so if you show up at their live show, you can be sure their sweat will make
the floor slippery, and the amplifiers will reach its peak. Now, shortly after mini tour
during which Circle Of Witches played in Italy, Austria and England, the band closed down
doors to their rehearsal room, where they work on new, full lenght studio album, which

LEBANESE HEAVY METAL ACT ZIX TAPS PRODUCER BART GABRIEL FOR DEBUT ALBUM
Lebanese female fronted Heavy Metal act ZIX
started production process of their debut full lenght album. The album, which is follow up
to band's debut EP "The Warwhore", will be produced by Bart Gabriel (SACRED
STEEL, CRYSTAL VIPER, JACK STARR'S BURNING STARR), mixed at the MP Studio in Poland by
Mariusz Pietka (MORTICIAN, SABATON, LONEWOLF), and mastered by Maor Appelbaum (ROB
HALFORD, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, LITA FORD).
ZIX are one
of the most promising Traditional Heavy Metal acts from Middle East lands. The band was
formed in 2010 in Beirut, and they list acts such as IRON MAIDEN, DIO and MANOWAR as their
main influences, while female vocals and Arabic influences make their music unique and
original.

Brazil has longtime and respected traditions when it comes
to Metal, so we are truly proud to present THY SYMPHONY, a band which mix in their music
Power Metal with orchestral and classic sounds, and movie score kind of atmosphere. The
band is fronted by two vocalists: female and male, what makes their style even more

Hurlement play old-school,
up-tempo Heavy Metal, both aggressive and melodic. Their style is built on influences like
Manowar, Running Wild and Judas Priest, but they are also great fans of the 80’s French
Heavy Metal scene and hell-bent on carrying the legacy of cult bands like Sortilege, ADX,
Killers, Blaspheme or H-Bomb.
Hurlement just wrapped up their second self-produced
effort, "Terreur Et Tourment" (“terror and torment”). The album was
recorded, mixed and mastered by Axel Wursthorn at the Walnut Groove studio, and boasts
striking cover art by JP Fournier. It will be released on LP and CD on February 25, 2013,
on Emanes Metal Records.

Never heard about The Levitation Hex? Well,
it's about time to become familiar with this exciting new outfit from the southern
hemisphere. Hailing from Canberra, the four-piece-band are a brainchild of Adam Agius. The
Levitation Hex step in the footprints of Adam's former band Alchemist, who were well-known
as one of the most unique bands in the Australian Metal scene, mixing thrash, heavy metal,
and other kinds of extreme music with dashes of psychedelia and stoner rock. Although in
sound quite close to Alchemist, The Levitation Hex are a lot heavier with just enough
texture to make it more interesting than a standard Heavy Metal sound.
While the Australian release of the self-titled debut album was a
"CD-only-affair", High Roller are going to put out a beautiful limited vinyl
edition, including some special bonus features: The booklet has been expanded and
re-designed, and the vinyl is gatefold with some cool live shots.
So far, The Levitation Hex can be very happy with the
reactions they get from the metal press - all over the country, reviewers have been very
positive, sometimes even enthusiastic about the album. But as the record had been
available in the band's home country only, "it was difficult for punters outside
Australia to purchase, and the press from overseas was very limited, as it's very
difficult to get noticed without a record company's backing, especially in Europe."
Now with the High Roller edition, it is finally possible to get hold of this gem in this
part of the world. Problem solved.

Dead Lord from the lovely city of Stockholm
could become the next "big thing" of Scandinavian Metal - no shadow of a doubt
about that! Although musically quite different, in spirit they are very much close to
Ghost, In Solitude and Portrait. Dead Lord are playing it from the heart. Their sound is
deeply rooted in the 1970s, with a heavy Thin Lizzy influence.
"We recorded "Goodbye Repentance" with Ola
Ersfjord", explains guitarist/vocalist Hakim Krim. "The guy who recorded our
debut 7" single for High Roller Records. He's a good friend of ours and a really good
studio guy. He even let us live at his place. He works in a studio in Dublin, so he got us
a great deal. We've known him long and he completely understands what Dead Lord is all
about. He almost feels like a band member". Whether you like or not, Hakim's vocals
do sound pretty close to the one and only Phil Lynott - the lonesome cowboy. His
intonation, timbre, tone, phrasing - it's all there. "This all comes naturally to
me," states Hakim.
Live Dead Lord are not as active as they would like to
be. There is a simple reason for that. Apart from Hakim, all other musicians are involved
in further projects: Guitarist Olle Hedenstrom is in Sordid Flesh and Kongh, Tobias
Lindkvist also plays bass for Enforcer and drummer Adam Lindmark's first band bears the
name of Morbus Chron.

minutes of supreme, metallic occult rock, "Angels' Necropolis", the infernal
debut album from YEAR OF THE GOAT, has been claiming mass praise from heavy metal fans and
critics alike, elevating this new act in the ranks of the scene quickly. A brilliantly
infectious album highlighting classic metal/occult rock harmonies
Östergötland/Norrköping, Sweden-based quintet seemingly permeate the air around them

ABSOLVA: FLAMES OF JUSTICE TOUR (PART 2)
Formed in the wake of Fury UK bassist Luke Appleton joining Iced
Earth, Absolva is the 21st century choice for fans of British metal in the tradition of
bands such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. At the heart of the band is the guitar attack
of those metal giants, combined with super-charged comparisons to the twin guitar
harmonies of Thin Lizzy.
Absolva had a lightning start from July 2012 with performances at SOS Festival in England,
quickly followed by tour dates with Iced Earth in Ireland and Scotland, plus an acclaimed
set at the UK's premier metal festival Bloodstock Open Air. The album "Flames Of
Justice" was released on 5th November on Rocksector Records, with UK and European
distribution through Plastichead. A full UK tour followed in October-November 2012, plus a
small number of European shows. Meanwhile, a music video for the award-winning "Code
Red" track quickly achieved thousands of hits on Youtube. Press quotes have been

CRYSTAL VIPER is a female fronted Traditional Heavy Metal band from Poland, which
recently released “Crimen Excepta” (AFM Records) – their 4th concept album about
inquisition & witches – which won the soundcheck in the Sweden Rock Magazine with a
glorious #1 position. The band is no stranger to European festivals, and except catching
them on multiple club shows, you could see them sharing stages with acts such as SLAYER,
IMMORTAL, ACCEPT or MANOWAR – but their appearance at Rockstad: Falun will be their
first live show in Sweden!
Cool fact: When Sabaton re-recorded the song
“40:1" with Polish lyrics, the band’s singer Marta Gabriel was the one helping
Joakim from Sabaton during recordings, and was one of the guest singers along with guys

INFINITE
TRANSLATION started their Thrash Metal crusade in 2004, after being formed by Max Maniac
and Fish Killer. While at the beginning the band was influenced by both classic Heavy

Warckon
originates from the region of Grammont in the province of East-Flanders, Belgium. The
band, as they perform on stage to this day, started their mission during the summer of
2009. Warckon’s fanbase grew quick and steady, so they decided to record some material
during the summer of 2010. What was supposed to become a simple demo, went on to become an
EP and eventually turned out as a full length album. “The Madman’s Lullaby” was
officially self-released for the first time on the first of April 2011. Since then the
band worked very hard to reinforce their reputation and live attitude. As the number of
shows grew, so did the number of clubs and festivals Warckon played at, even across the
borders. In February of 2012, Warckon was the only Flemish metal band that was selected
for the last 100 contenders of Humo’s Rock Rally, Belgium’s biggest mainstream rock
rally.
The growing reputation and the increasing fanbase kept
reinforcing itself, landing the band a record deal with the French Emanes Metal Records.
Under the wings of this label, they scheduled the re-release of "The Madman’s

playing shows, the band intended to withdraw back to the studio and not play any shows
during the second half of 2012, so they could record the follow up for their first record.
What they didn’t foresee was the great amount of gig requests. The idea of not doing any
shows was cancelled and they found massive joy combining the process of recording with the
mayhem of touring. Warckon plays Thrash Metal which definitely derives its influences from
the 80’s Bay Area scene. Fans of the technicality of top notch bands like Megadeth,
Testament and Annihilator or the attitude that defines bands like Slayer and Exodus, will
surely get their kicks at a Warckon gig! The band keeps working hard to maintain the
reputation they have built for themselves: skull-crushing shows that are played tight as
hell while maintaining interaction with the audience.

Following a triumphant
unfurling via German cult label Ván Records in December, The Netherlands' heavy rock act
GOLD today proudly unveils the official video for "Antebellum", the key track
for their debut album, Interbellum. Written and directed by Bastiaan Bosma with producer
Natasa Heydra, "Antebellum" is an incredibly vibrant track that perfectly lays
the groundwork for the rest of GOLD's radiant album through a very unique and colorful
artistic video interpretation.
Stated GOLD in a collective statement on the
creation and inception of the video: "To us, 'Antebellum' is the key song of our
debut album. Musically it serves as the blue print of our sound, combining a variety of
influences into a fresh and contemporary new entity. Lyrically it takes the metaphor of
the calm before the storm to describe a feeling of being out of place in a world that is
on the verge of collapsing. Therefore it was a must for us that this would be the first
official video of the album. Writer and director Bastiaan Bosma created a video that fits
the song perfectly. He approached the theme from his own twisted point of view and created
a story about lust and control larded with a tad of sex and a shade of horror."

"Full Throttle Heavy Metal 'n' Roll" from Sweden! A
high-quality mix of early Iron Maiden, Accept, Judas Priest, with a hint of Motörhead.
Swedish hopefuls Screamer started out in Ljungby, Smaland, in early 2009, with Christoffer
Svensson (bass/vocals), Martin Hallberg (guitars), Anton Fingal (guitars) and Henrik
Petersson (drums). In 2011, they released their debut album "Adrenaline
Distractions" on High Roller Records. The record received rave reviews all over the
world - especially in Germany's leading magazine Rock Hard. In autumn 2012, Screamer
departed for a European tour along with '77 from Spain and their Swedish friends Bullet.
"The Full Pull Tour with Bullet and '77 was a total blast", remarks drummer
Henrik Petersson. "It felt great being able to reach out to bigger audiences, and
playing live is what all of us in the band live for. We love it!". The whole band is
very confident that their second album will turn even more heads. Henrik has every right
to be proud: "The new album is called "Phoenix". A nine track monster with
approximately 45 minutes running time. The artwork will once again be designed by Robin
Gnista, the same artist that made our first cover. We are VERY proud and feel very
confident about the new album, it feels like a natural step forward to us". Screamer
are at the moment looking for more tour dates in Europe and will surely appear at some
major festivals in the summer of 2013.

You've been into Thrash Metal for a while? Then you surely know
Witchburner from Fulda, Germany. They've been active in the German underground scene since
1992 and they never surrendered. Witchburner kept the spirit alive when everyone else was
going astray, and they didn't give a damn about trends that kept coming and going or about
the problems that naturally occur when a band has to struggle with constant line-up
changes. Now, after twenty years of relentless thrashing, and after having released six
albums and nine demos, splits and EPs, Witchburner are about to unleash yet another pure
old school Thrash attack. "Bloodthirsty Eyes" is their first full-length on High
Roller Records. It combines the band's original, long-developed trademarks with the
qualities of the two new members who joined Witchburner in 2011: new vocalist Pino's raspy
voice is full of brutal, rough power that fits perfectly with the totally classic but
still very inspired thrash-riffing, which is provided by long-time member Simon Seegel and
the new man on lead guitar, Michael "Mächel" Frank. Both new members added a
fair share of fresh blood and ideas: While Pino wrote all the lyrics for
"Bloodthirsty Eyes", Mächel's creative and precise solos add the last touch of
technical refinement that makes a thrash song a real thrash song.

Witchgrave hail from Vaxjo, Sweden, home of other well-known
Swedish bands like Bullet and Eviscerated. Formed in 2008, founding members Jocke and Sven
recorded the first four songs in 2009 which formed the band's first proper release - their
mini album "The Devil's Night" came out on High Roller Records in 2010 and
quickly got sold out, surely due to the enthusiastic reviews it received in the leading
underground press. Sven is also active in Antichrist, who released their outstanding debut
on High Roller Records in 2012. The lyrics on "The Devil's Night" deal with the
occult, black magic and other dreadful things - just the right stuff to go with the
outfit's music, which is very much in line with the pioneers of the occult path of New
Wave Of British Heavy Metal - think of Venom, Mercyful Fate, Bulldozer and add a dash of
Dark Throne-ish brutishness and a great deal of '60s/'70s horror movie aesthetics. Now
grown into a proper four-piece band, Witchgrave are about to release their first
full-length on High Roller Records. The self-titled album will contain eight songs of
repulsive Metal music, including mouth-watering titles like "The Virgin Must
Die" and "Motorcycle Killer" with a sound that comes straight from the
eighties - so if you love your Metal like it was recorded in 1983, this release is simply
mandatory.

Lebanese female fronted Heavy Metal act ZIX
started production process of their debut full lenght album. The album, which is follow up

Dead Lord from the lovely city of Stockholm
could become the next "big thing" of Scandinavian Metal - no shadow of a doubt

Ghost, In Solitude and Portrait. Dead Lord are playing it from the heart. Their sound is
deeply rooted in the 1970s, with a heavy Thin Lizzy influence.
